The 2009 World Ijtema will be held in Marawi City, Philippines this coming July 14- 17, 2009.
The World Ijtima is held annually and attended by millions of muslims from around the globe. It is a a three-day gathering solely for worship and Islamic knowledge. It is the largest gathering of Muslims after hajj.
Sumengay tano sa oras a maka song tano ron, khanaba so bo so mga tabligh e khapakay ron somong, importante na aden a paratiya ka ko Allah ago ay tano niyaat na soa-soat tano ko Allah a ped ko mga simba tano. Thimo thimo tano na paladen tano so Allah, ago pangnin tano a pakalintaden niyan so betad tano sa ranao ago pakathagumpiyan iyan tano niyan a mga muslim sa donya ago paguman umanan iyan so mga paratiyaya tano.

Phamangnin tano ko Allah a langon tano niyan mikalimo...sa mingolalan tano so langon sa simba tano ko Allah ago so langon a ikasoso-at o Allah.

Ago misapar tano sa ginawa tano so langon a isasapar o Allah... a maso-at rektano sa diniyan pen kakowa-a ko mga napas tano...Ameen.

Lanao del Sur is the land of the Maranaos, “people of the lake,” among the most devout of Muslim tribes as well as the most artistic. Nowhere is this more evident than in the the people’s most natural way of life and the land’s most attractive sites.

The life of the Maranaos centers on Lake Lanao, the second largest and deepest in the Philippines and one of the most breathtakingly beautiful, surrounded with myths and legends. A commanding view of the lake is offered by Marawi City, the provincial capital.

The Maranao tribe is among the most artistic. Their numerous ceremonial artifacts and everyday tools are trimmed with the sensuous "okir" (carving) and colorful "nagas" (serpent figures). We visited the houses of these amazing brassware makers, drum carvers and weaver and were in awe of their craftsmanship. I share with your their amazing talents.
